LIBRARY

Stove Works' Library serves as a resource to the community and is available for Residents during their stay.  As part of the Residency, Artists-in-Residence are asked to donate a book to our library, creating an archive of Resident-inspired texts that's growing a diverse collection of modern and contemporary arts-related books and catalogs.  Residents can check books out from the Library for on-site use.

The Stove Works Library also houses the South East portion of the Brooklyn Art Library's Sketchbook Project. Additionally, we are growing the Stove Works Sketchbook Collection, a program open to Artists-in-Residence and the Chattanooga community alike.

CLASSroom

The Classroom contains the majority of our educational programming. Our Teen Curators program meets weekly in the space and uses the Classroom to stage biannual exhibitions. Monthly workshops utilize the space for convening, experimenting, learning, making, and sharing. Additionally, the classroom houses materials for passive activities, take-away kits for young creatives, coloring pages, activity sheets, and so much more.
