In Loving Memory of Neena Wang
Neena Wang, beloved daughter, sister, accomplished multi-media artist and curator, passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 30. Though her time with us was brief, she lived with a depth, creativity, and courage that touched countless lives.
Born on August 4th, 1995 in Memphis, Neena moved through life with a certainty and boldness reserved for the brave few. She was extraordinarily talented, excelling at every medium she exploredmetal, ceramics, glass, painting, music, and more. As a curator, she was passionate about raising visibility for Asian American artists, and the communities she brought together stand as a testament to that vision. Neena loved reading, playing tennis, and traveling to the many places her creative pursuits carried her.
Neena dreamed beyond the limitations of our reality. She was deeply spiritual and attuned to the parts of life that resist language but speak to the soul. Most importantly, she sought meaning through human connection and changing the world through her art.
With an encouraging voice and a bright smile, Neena was the heart of her peers a motivating force who uplifted others and made everyone feel like they belonged. The legacy she leaves behind will shine infinitely.
In her absence, we still have the love and passion she embodied. We are reminded, in her memory, to be unapologetically ourselves and to always go after what we believe in.
She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Qiuhua Fu (Kathy) and Xiaohu Wang; her older brother, Oliver Wang; extended family members; and her cherished kitten, Neo.
