Programs Description:
walking tour:
We’re scheduling The People’s History Walking Tours off-site in Chattanooga with Michael Gilliland throughout the duration of this show. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and check the weather, as these events are exclusively outdoors.
READING GROUP:
We’ll be reading The Unseen Truth: When Race Changed Sight in America by Sarah Lewis in conjunction with this exhibition. We have 10 free copies, courtesy of Harvard University Press, available to the first ten people to commit to joining both discussions.
Inside/Outside:
Inside the Art, Outside Ourselves is a series of workshops that each invite you to spend time reflecting on a specific artwork from our main exhibition. Through guiding prompts and conversation, we encourage you to dig deeper into the work, think meaningfully about the ideas presented, and to respond with drawing or writing exercises. Artists to be featured include xxx, xxx, & xxx.
