Thinking about renting the Courtyard for an event?

Not a bad idea. It’s a pretty spectacular site. But, first, let’s get to know each other. Since event rentals are secondary to our mission, we would like to keep things clear so that the Art and Artists at Stove Works remain the focus.

What we have to offer:

A huge a** courtyard.
Bathrooms.

That’s about it. We do not handle event production, set up, or provide equipment.

 

What’s it cost?

NOTE: Rentals on days when the gallery is closed (Sunday and Monday) will not be considered at this time.

NOTE: Nonprofits seeking free use of the space, must first set up a meeting with Charlotte Caldwell, Director, and/or have an existing relationship with Stove Works before use will be approved. Please email friends@stoveworks.org for inquiries.

*must be a non-profit, free and open to the public and only applies to courtyard use. Other conditions like anticipated attendance, after hours, gallery use, and whether or not you will be serving food or alcohol might influence the rental fee.

Deposit:

50% of fee within seven (7) days of contract signing. Non-profits must provide a $250 deposit for the event regardless of cost.

Preferred Caterer:

Neutral Ground

Some Potential Additional costs:

Need for interior “green room:” + 100
Use of a non-preferred caterer: + 300
Use of our PA system: + 100 - 400, + additional 250 deposit
Additional hours (private event): +200 first hour, + 400 second hour, + 800 third hour, and so on
Additional after-hours (non-profit): +75 per hour (to compensate for staff time)
Closing down the gallery: +250 non-profit, +500 weekdays, + 1,000 weekends
Clearing the gallery: + 1,000 - 3,000 depending on the exhibition
Security for events over 100 people: + 50/hour or more
Event Insurance for events over 75 people and/or serving alcohol: + minimum 250
Dumpster fee (for significant food waste): + 250
