Ode to the Muses is a collection that documents the beauty, sentimentality, and curiosity of everyday life. It is a love letter to all that inspires—fleeting thoughts, passing peculiarities, loved ones from childhood, and the dying houseplant.

About the Artist:

Savannah Young is an artist based in Chattanooga, TN. Young graduated with a BFA in Painting and a Minor in Drawing from the Savannah College of Art & Design. She studied oil painting under the instruction of Von Lortz throughout her youth. Using a vintage Polaroid camera to document her life, Young creates paintings from candid photographs, often paired with objects or prose. Her work functions as both a personal archive and an exploration into the various ways memory can be preserved.
