Hello! My name is Jackson Hussey, and I will graduate with a BFA in Sculpture from UTC in 2026. Throughout my education, and time at Stove Works, I’ve discovered a substantial passion for connecting with artists in my local community, and providing spaces for them to exhibit their work. In following this passion, I conceptualized and co-founded a student-run curatorial collective called Tincture which works in collaboration with First Friday Chattanooga to promote monthly showings of student artworks to the larger Chattanooga community. In my own practice, I utilize found materials and recycled objects to discuss societally imposed conceptions, highlighting the potential in what can quickly be labeled garbage.
