Stove Works Gallery

Join us Saturday, February 19th for a dynamic panel discussion inspired by Black Bible, the current exhibition by Charlie Newton. In Black Bible, Charlie uses his practice of "Southern African American Spiritual Painting" to enable audiences to "reconstruct our concepts, percepts, and precepts on how the Bible is written." The panel features creatives, scholars, and leaders throughout Chattanooga's Black communities to foster a dialogue that matches the power of the exhibit. The event will open with a screening of Long Prayers, a short film on Newton's work, produced by Bed Rock Productions.
