The People's Gallery is a community art exhibition, artist design competition, and fundraiser that expands Chattanooga's People's History through public art, historical research, and community storytelling.

CALEB (Chattanoogans in Action for Love, Equality, and Benevolence) is a grassroots organization that brings together everyday people to build power and create systemic change in public education, affordable housing, economic mobility through labor organizing, and the criminal justice system.

Building on CALEB's collaboration with local historian and Executive Director Michael Gilliland, the project continues the People's History of Chattanooga Project—a growing public history initiative that explores Chattanooga's history of white supremacy, Black resistance, labor organizing, and the grassroots movements that shaped our city. While the tour provides a historical foundation, history is never complete. The People's Gallery invites local artists to help expand that story through original artwork rooted in research, lived experience, and community knowledge.
